        What this product is for

The IDEAL 35-790 is a 13-piece journeyman electrician's tool kit assembled for everyday electrical installation, service and maintenance work. It combines core hand tools with a carry tote so the kit can go directly to residential, commercial and light industrial jobs.

        Use for

Use for pulling, gripping and cutting conductors, stripping common building wire sizes, fastening devices and terminations, measuring rough-in distances, levelling boxes or conduit runs, and carrying essential hand tools between service calls. This kit is commonly used by apprentices, journeypersons and maintenance electricians who want a single packaged set.

        Avoid for

Avoid using this kit where insulated live-line tools, torque tools, test instruments or specialty termination tools are required. It is not a substitute for meters, PPE or application-specific tools needed for energized work or specialized industrial tasks.

        Best for

Best for electricians who need a practical starter kit, school or apprenticeship tool list kit, or a service bag for general-purpose electrical work. It also suits buyers standardizing basic hand tools across crews.

        Installed in

Typically used on residential rough-in and finishing, commercial tenant work, maintenance departments, service vans, workshops and training programs across Canada.

        Why this product exists

This kit groups frequently used electrician hand tools into one manufacturer package so buyers can equip a technician quickly without selecting each item separately. For many contractors, that can simplify onboarding and tool replacement.

        Compared with similar products

Compared with buying tools individually, this packaged kit offers a matched set with tote and core hand tools already selected. Compared with larger electrician kits, this 13-piece set focuses on common daily-use tools rather than adding testers or specialty items. As typical buying guidance, bundled kits are often chosen for apprentices and spare truck stock, while experienced electricians may add trade-specific tools based on the work mix. Actual tool requirements depend on job scope, employer policy and local electrical code.
