What this product is for
This LED T8 retrofit tube is for upgrading existing 4 ft (1.22 m) fluorescent fixtures to LED while keeping a compatible electronic ballast in place. It is a UL Type A, ballast-compatible lamp intended for faster relamping with less fixture modification.
Use for
Use for offices, retail areas, schools, hospitality spaces, and other indoor commercial locations where a 4000K cool white lamp is preferred. It is also suitable for damp-location rated fixtures where the fixture itself is appropriate for the environment.
Avoid for
Avoid for fixtures with incompatible, failed, or unknown ballasts, and do not use where dimming is required. Avoid specifying it for direct-wire bypass applications, as this model is intended to operate from a compatible electronic fluorescent ballast.
Best for
Best for maintenance-driven fluorescent-to-LED upgrades where electricians want a plug-and-play lamp with minimal downtime. It is a practical choice when the existing ballast is still serviceable and a full rewiring conversion is not required.

Why this product exists
This lamp provides an easier LED upgrade path for fluorescent fixtures by using the existing ballast rather than requiring an immediate ballast-bypass conversion. Compared with a typical 32W fluorescent T8, the 13W input can reduce lamp energy use substantially, but actual savings depend on ballast losses, operating hours, and site conditions.
As a rule of thumb, 4000K lamps are commonly used in commercial and task-oriented spaces where a neutral-cool appearance is preferred. Actual lighting performance depends on fixture design, ballast compatibility, mounting height, and room reflectance.
Compared with similar products
Compared with ballast-bypass Type B tubes, this Type A lamp can speed up retrofit work because rewiring is not normally required. Compared with integrated LED fixtures, it helps extend the life of existing housings when the fixture body is still in good condition. The trade-off is ongoing dependence on ballast compatibility and ballast condition.

Returns
Defective Items:
