hello my question is i need to change 1 breaker they jump , the number nnz30140 120/240 v in the cornor is writing 73 code i don t know if is importent, it a breacker 2 conection , thanks for informing
Jan 24, 2025, 08:28 AMThe breaker you are referring to, NNZ30140, appears to be a 140-amp, 3-pole molded case circuit breaker. However, based on your description of it having "2 connections" and operating at 120/240V, it's possible that the actual breaker you're dealing with is a 2-pole version.
Steps to Replace the Breaker:
Identify the Breaker Brand – Check the panel where the breaker is installed. You need to replace it with an identical model (same brand, type, and amp rating) or an approved compatible breaker.
Check the Amp Rating – If your breaker is 140A, you need to replace it with the same 140-amp, 2-pole breaker.
Turn Off Power – Shut off the main breaker before removing the old breaker.
Remove the Old Breaker – Pull it out carefully and take note of how the wires are connected.
Install the New Breaker – Connect the wires exactly as they were before.
Turn Power Back On – Once securely installed, turn the main breaker back on and test if the circuit is functioning properly.
Additional Considerations:
The "73 code" you see in the corner might be a manufacturing date code or a standard compliance marking.
If the breaker keeps tripping ("jumping"), there might be an overload or short circuit in the circuit. If a new breaker does the same thing, the issue could be with the connected load or wiring.
