      What this product is for

The Noark B1E1B1 is a UL 1077 miniature circuit breaker for supplementary protection of control panels, lighting circuits, business equipment, and other low-current loads. It is a 1-pole, 1A breaker in the B1E family with a B-curve trip characteristic and a 5kA interrupting rating at 277VAC.

      Use for

Use this breaker where the equipment design calls for a 1A supplementary protector on 277VAC or 125VDC circuits. It is commonly used on DIN rail in industrial control panels, OEM equipment, and commercial control assemblies where a compact thermal-magnetic breaker is preferred.

As typical guidance, B-curve breakers trip faster on low inrush loads than C-curve models, which can help on sensitive electronic or control circuits. Actual performance depends on load profile, available fault current, and coordination with upstream protection.

      Avoid for

Avoid using this device where branch-circuit protection is required unless the equipment design and code requirements specifically permit a UL 1077 supplementary protector. For feeder or branch protection, electricians typically specify a UL 489 breaker instead.

      Best for

Best for panel builders, maintenance electricians, and OEMs needing a compact 1-pole breaker for supplementary protection with DIN rail mounting, box lug terminations, and a narrow 0.71 in (18 mm) module width.

      Installed in

Installed in control cabinets, machinery panels, lighting control assemblies, and commercial equipment enclosures using standard 35 mm DIN rail.

      Why this product exists

This breaker provides local overload and short-circuit supplementary protection for individual circuits inside equipment, helping isolate faults without using larger branch breakers for every small control load. Its 1A rating suits low-current circuits where tighter protection is needed.

      Compared with similar products

Compared with Noark B1H or B1N series breakers, the B1E series is intended for UL 1077 supplementary protection rather than UL 489 branch-circuit protection. Compared with a C-curve breaker, this B-curve model is typically chosen for lower inrush applications.
