Miniature Circuit Breaker · 1P 1A C Curve 10 kA 250 Vdc · Box Lug DIN Rail Mount · Noark B1D1C1
What this product is for
The Noark B1D1C1 is a UL 489 listed DC miniature circuit breaker for overcurrent protection in main and branch DC circuits. It is a 1-pole, 1A breaker in the B1D series with a 250 Vdc rating, C-curve trip characteristic, thermal-magnetic operation, and 10 kA short-circuit rating.
Use for
Use it in DC control panels, industrial automation, battery-backed systems, renewable energy balance-of-system panels, and other DC branch circuits where a 1A protective device is required. It mounts on standard 35 mm DIN rail and suits panel layouts where compact modular protection is needed.
Avoid for
Avoid using it where AC-only breaker ratings are required, where the circuit voltage exceeds 250 Vdc on a 1-pole B1D device, or where a supplementary protector is specified instead of a branch-circuit-rated breaker. Confirm voltage, available fault current, conductor size, and terminal compatibility before ordering.
Best for
Best for electricians and panel builders needing a low-amperage DC breaker for control wiring, signalling circuits, and light DC branch protection with a C-curve profile. C-curve breakers are commonly used where moderate inrush current may be present, such as certain control devices, relays, and DC power supply circuits.
Installed in
Typically installed in industrial control panels, machinery panels, energy storage assemblies, and DC distribution enclosures. The breaker is designed for standard 35 mm DIN rail installation, which simplifies replacement and multi-device panel assembly.
Why this product exists
This product provides branch-circuit-rated DC protection in applications where standard AC miniature breakers or supplementary protectors are not the correct choice. It gives panel builders a compact UL 489 and CSA-certified option for low-current DC circuits while maintaining a 10 kA interrupting rating.
Compared with similar products
Compared with Noark B1N DC breakers, the B1D series is the higher-voltage 1-pole DC option, rated up to 250 Vdc instead of 60 Vdc for B1N 1-pole models. Compared with UL 1077 supplementary protectors, this B1D model is intended for branch-circuit protection. As typical guidance, a 1A breaker is commonly selected for low-load control or signalling circuits rather than power feeders; actual suitability depends on conductor sizing, connected load, and local electrical code.
Actual performance depends on installation conditions, conductor selection, available fault current, and local electrical code.
