Evolt Electrical Supply is a Western Canadian electrical distributor built on nearly three decades of practical industry experience, trusted supplier relationships, and a commitment to helping customers get the right products for the job.

Our story began in 1998 as Lite-scape Lighting, specializing in low-voltage landscape and roadway lighting. Early work included notable projects such as Jack Luke’s Court in North Vancouver and Royal Jubilee Hospital, establishing a foundation in technical lighting expertise and dependable project support.

In 2002, Lite-scape entered a strategic partnership with Nedco, a division of Rexel. Over the next ten years, we worked closely with the Nedco team while continuing to independently develop and sell our own brands. We participated in management meetings and monthly planning, built strong trust with our business partners, and were recognized twice for the largest branch growth and profitability across Western Canada, in our fourth and seventh years of the partnership.

In 2012, Hubbell Canada and GE Industrial Distribution approached us to represent niche lines within their electrical offerings throughout British Columbia, both relationships remain strong today. At the same time, significant corporate management changes were underway within Rexel’s Nedco division across Canada. Before making the transition, we sought guidance from experienced industry leaders, including the former Western Canadian head of Nedco and a City Electric Supply executive who had helped establish branches across Canada. With their perspective and a strong foundation already in place, we chose to expand these brands and others independently under the Evolt banner.

Since then, Evolt has grown into a specialized supplier of lighting, switchgear, circuit protection, panels, breakers, landscape lighting, and electrical products. Today, we serve contractors, businesses, institutions, and homeowners across Western Canada, with annual sales of approximately $4 million to $5 million.

Our longevity is reflected in the customers and people who have remained with us. Many of our original customers continue to work with Evolt today, a result of consistent service, knowledgeable support, and relationships built over years of working together. Many of our original employees are also still part of the team, bringing deep product knowledge and firsthand understanding of our customers’ needs.

During COVID, we invested in our team’s development, supporting team members as they pursued post-secondary education degrees in business, programming, and computer science. In 2021, we launched evolt.ca to make electrical products easier to research, source, and purchase online. Since then, 1,346 customers have completed more than $10 million in purchases through our e-commerce platform.
